Primary Care

Alexandra Caracitas, DO, is a highly regarded board-certified Family Medicine physician. Dr. Caracitas earned her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey- School of Osteopathic Medicine (Rowan- SOM)  in 2000. She completed her internship at Kennedy Memorial Hospital and residency training at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center. 

Family Medicine is a medical specialty focused on providing comprehensive and continuous healthcare with an emphasis on preventive care and the management of chronic conditions. Dr. Caracitas is dedicated to providing high-quality, individualized care with compassion. She strives to not only provide preventive medicine, but also to diagnose, treat diseases, and shape the plan of care based on the unique personality and circumstances of each patient. Dr. Caracitas is committed to keeping current with the new developments, guidelines and procedures in her field. She was chosen as a Top Doc by NJ Top Docs in 2024. She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.

Alongside her primary responsibilities in the field, Dr. Caracitas enjoys spending time with her family/friends, traveling, reading, hiking, and volunteering in the local community.
