Primary Care

Dr. Sudarshan Velpari is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician specializing in preventative care, wellness medicine, and weight management. As a caring and attentive physician, Dr. Velpari views high-quality primary care as essential to good overall health. He strongly focuses on patient-centered care that involves the entire healthcare team and assesses all facets of well-being, including the physical, psychological, emotional, and social aspects. He aims to partner with patients and empower them to get involved in their care. 

Dr. Velpari was accepted into an accelerated combined Bachelors of Science and Medical School program coming straight out of high school. After completing his undergraduate education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Velpari received his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, where he was class president. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Lehigh Valley Health Network and has been awarded the Board of Governor’s Scholarship and the Provost Award for Scholarship during his career. He was chosen as a Top Doc by NJ Top Docs in 2024.

 

Outside the office, Dr. Velpari enjoys spending his free time with family, traveling, and taking in new sights while working on his photography. In his downtime, he reads and works on home improvement projects. Dr. Velpari loves to bicycle on the weekends, stay active, play sports, and watch football. Having been raised in Pittsburgh, he is an avid Steelers fan!
